These terms are the agreement between you and FluentSeed. By booking a trial, creating an account or taking lessons, you agree to them on behalf of yourself and your child. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.
1. Who can use FluentSeed
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or buy lessons. FluentSeed is designed for children aged 4-16, who use the service under the supervision of a parent or guardian. If you book for a child, you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian and that you are responsible for their use of FluentSeed.
2. Your account
Please give accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@fluentseed.com if you think someone has used your account without permission.
3. Lessons, the free trial and scheduling
New students start with a free trial lesson and a level assessment. Paid lessons are delivered live and online, 1-on-1, by a certified teacher we match to your child. You can request a different teacher at any time and we'll rematch within 24 hours. To reschedule, please give at least 24 hours' notice. You'll need a suitable device and a stable internet connection to join lessons.
4. Plans, payments and cancellation
Paid plans (Sprout, Bloom and Flourish) are billed monthly and renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time to stop future payments. Prices may change from time to time, and we'll give you notice before a change affects you. Any applicable taxes may be added. Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.
5. Acceptable use
To keep FluentSeed safe and positive for children and teachers, you agree to:
- Treat teachers and staff with respect, and supervise young children during lessons.
- Use the service lawfully and only for its intended purpose.
- Not share your account, disrupt lessons, or attempt to misuse or interfere with our systems.
- Not record, copy, share or republish lessons, teaching materials or other content without our written permission.
6. Lesson recordings
We may record lessons so parents can review them and to support teaching quality and child safety. How recordings are handled is explained in our Privacy Policy.
7. Our content and intellectual property
FluentSeed's curriculum, lesson materials, website, logos and other content are owned by FluentSeed or its licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-commercial right to use them for your child's learning. You may not copy, sell, distribute or create derivative works from our content without our permission.
8. Our teachers
Lessons are delivered by certified Filipino teachers whom we screen and coordinate. We work hard to maintain teaching quality and child safety, and you can ask for a teacher change at any time if the fit isn't right.
9. Third-party services
We rely on third-party services - such as payment processing and video lessons - to run FluentSeed. Their own terms and policies may apply to your use of those services.
10. No guaranteed outcomes
We're committed to helping your child progress, but language learning depends on many factors, including practice and attendance. FluentSeed is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, and we don't guarantee specific results, scores or levels by a particular time.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FluentSeed is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses. Where we are found liable, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for lessons in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited by law.
12. Suspension and termination
You can stop using FluentSeed at any time. We may suspend or end access to an account that breaches these terms or poses a risk to the safety of children, our teachers or our service. If your account ends, sections that by their nature should continue - such as intellectual property and limitation of liability - will remain in effect.
13. Changes to the service and these terms
We may improve or change the service over time, and we may update these terms. When we make significant changes, we'll update the "last updated" date above and let you know where appropriate. Continuing to use FluentSeed after a change means you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which FluentSeed operates, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of that jurisdiction, except where the law of your home country gives you rights that must apply.
